Within the “Addressing the Economic Drivers of Irregular Migration” project, the National Council for Women (NCW), in partnership with the European Union (EU), implemented an Oil Seed Processing advanced training and targeted women in Shubra Al-Yemen and Kafr Shubra Al-Yemen villages, in Gharbia Governorate, with the aim of encouraging women to work on the natural oil pressing project, as well as producing cosmetics products such as skin serum, body lotion and natural soap, in order to increase their income and provide a decent life for them and their families as part of achieving women's economic empowerment.
       It is worth noting that the “Addressing the Economic Drivers of Irregular Migration” project aims to promote alternatives to irregular migration through promoting enterprise development and work opportunities for women and youth in Beheira, Gharbia, Luxor and Minya Governorates, in addition to implementing awareness-raising activities to highlight the risks of irregular migration based on the previous efforts.
